The Medical Directors play an important role in ensuring that the integrated group is a cohesive network that efficiently delivers quality care and healthcare services to improve clinical outcomes.
SFHCP Medical Directors
- Provide concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient care in accordance with Hospital and SFHCP utilization management policies
- Collaborate with the Hospital case managers, inpatient nurse reviewers and Payor Medical Directors
- Facilitate appropriate utilization of resources
- Ensure efficient provision of care
- Monitor quality of care and physician compliance with Hospital and SFHCP utilization management policies and proceduresÂ
- Monitor Clinical Integration achievements
- Act as liasions to designated SFHCP payors
