SFHCP Contracting

Saint Francis HealthCare Partners (SFHCP) has developed congenial relationships with its contracted payors; relationships that continue to be enhanced by SFHCP's commitment to provide cost-effective, efficient, quality care to patients accessing the Saint Francis system through any one of SFHCP's payor contracts.

SFHCP Contract Committee, comprised of equal physician and hospital representation, is responsible for reviewing of potential and existing SFHCP contracts and making recommendations to the Board regarding their approval or rejection of contracts.  The Contract Committee is responsible for reviewing both financial (physician fee schedules, hospital rates) and non-financial (contractual language, carve-out arrangements, administrative policies & procedures) terms as well as developing contracting strategies.  It has been instrumental in the development of tools used to model proposed contracts, utilizing SFHCP's data warehouse to produce effective utilization and financial analyses for contract discussions.

SFHCP's success in its contracting efforts is confirmed by each major SFHCP payor acknowledging that Saint Francis continues to be a top performing system in each of their respective networks.
